Freshfields private equity partner Florian Sippel leaves Munich after nine months
Private equity partner Florian Sippel has left Freshfields' Munich office about nine months after joining from Kirkland & Ellis in February 2026, Law.com International and JUVE reported. Freshfields confirmed the departure to JUVE but declined to give reasons. Sippel's hire was part of the firm's response to the loss of four private equity partners to Latham & Watkins. He previously spent seven years at Freshfields, in Frankfurt, Munich and London, until December 2021.
