Iberian Lawyer and Líder Legal reported on October 2, 2026, that Andersen Iberia integrated Barcelona litigation boutique Martín & Parés Abogados. Eva López Parés and Víctor J. Martín join as litigation partners with four colleagues, lifting the Barcelona office to 42 professionals including 11 partners and deepening commercial litigation, contractual liability, and economic-crime work in Catalonia.

Clifford Chance rehires Paul Weiss leveraged finance partners Hassan and Menendez
Clifford Chance said on September 23, 2026 it is bringing back leveraged finance partners Taner Hassan and Silvia Menendez from Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison, Law.com International, Law360 and Non-Billable reported. Hassan, formerly Paul Weiss’s European leveraged finance head, will be based in London; Menendez will work across London and Madrid. The firm said the pair are its eighth and ninth private capital lateral partner hires this year.

Lexroom acquires French Query Juriste and Bulgarian Praven Intelekt in first M&A deals
Italian legal AI company Lexroom announced on September 8, 2026 that it had acquired 100% of French legal-research startup Query Juriste and Bulgarian legal AI startup Praven Intelekt, its first acquisitions. The deals take Lexroom to five European markets: Italy, Germany, Spain, France and Bulgaria. Founders and teams of both companies join Lexroom, with Praven Intelekt co-founder Siyanna Lilova becoming head of Central and Eastern Europe. Terms were not disclosed.
