OpenAI launches Decisions API for cheaper bulk document classification aimed at legal review

OpenAI has put its Decisions API into public beta, a lighter classification system that returns typed answers about 10 times faster than its Responses API and bills only input tokens at $0.10 per million tokens on GPT-6-Luna, with no cache or output charges. Artificial Lawyer says the tool is suited to first-pass due diligence, e-discovery and large compliance sorts rather than complex contract reasoning, and says it will compete with tools such as Jev.
