Leak of alleged Silent Ransom Group data points to millions in law firm extortion payments

An unknown party this week published "The Luna Moth Files," alleged internal data from Silent Ransom Group, the extortion crew the FBI says steals data from law firms. Blockchain analytics firm Chainalysis said some leaked cryptocurrency addresses sit downstream of millions of dollars in ransom payments, including one it already tracked tied to a $10 million victim payment in mid-2026. Reuters said it could not immediately verify the data.
