Trump signs Stop Secret Spending Act requiring other-transaction awards on USAspending.gov

President Trump signed the Stop Secret Spending Act of 2025 (H.R. 2069) on September 11, 2026. The law amends the Federal Funding Accountability and Transparency Act of 2006 (31 U.S.C. 6101 note) to add other transaction agreements to the federal awards agencies must report on USAspending.gov, gives agencies up to three years to transmit that data automatically, and requires an annual posting of the total federal award spending withheld from the site and the reasons for withholding it.
