Gibson Dunn set to hire Weil's roughly 40-lawyer London private funds team

Gibson Dunn is set to hire Weil, Gotshal & Manges' London private funds team, led by co-heads James Bromley and James Sargent, with six more partners and about 30 counsel and associates expected to follow. The move comes as Weil's management has recommended winding down the firm, though talks with the funds team reportedly ran for more than a year. Gibson Dunn declined to comment.
