Swedish legal AI company Legora said on October 21, 2026, that it raised a $550 million Series E round at an $8.8 billion valuation, led by Atreides Management. The company said annual recurring revenue has passed $200 million and that it will use the money to expand in the U.S. and develop Legora aOS, its agentic AI operating system.
Legora and Toronto-based tax research company Blue J on October 19, 2026, launched an integration that lets customers who subscribe to both products query Blue J from inside Legora and get answers with inline citations to Blue J sources. Built on the Model Context Protocol, it opens first to selected joint customers in early access, with general availability planned for November. Legora said it is not moving into tax.
Hogan Lovells Cadwalader on October 16, 2026 unveiled a firmwide AI strategy that pairs agreements with both Harvey and Legora with its own ELTEMATE tools, a new AI Board and a Commercial Unit. Legora said the firm will roll out its platform across the Americas, EMEA and APAC after a pilot with more than 1,300 lawyers, while Harvey said its platform is in use across corporate, litigation and regulatory groups.
Microsoft launched Copilot for Legal on October 15, 2026, adding more than 20 legal-specific skills to Microsoft Copilot for contract review, drafting, obligations tracking and case chronologies in Word and its agentic Cowork workspace. Plugins from more than two dozen legal technology partners, including Harvey, Legora, iManage and Relativity, begin rolling out through Microsoft's plugin registry.
Legora launched an integration ecosystem on October 14, 2026 that connects its agentic AI platform to more than 30 systems, including iManage, NetDocuments, Everlaw, Intapp, Docusign and Ironclad. Lawyers can work on documents held in those platforms without downloading and re-uploading files, while existing permissions and ethical walls govern what Legora can retrieve.
Legora launched Intake, a front door for in-house legal teams built around the Legora Agent and available now in Slack, Artificial Lawyer and Legal IT Insider reported October 13, 2026. Intake turns business requests into tracked work and can prepare first drafts using the legal team's own Skills and playbooks; Legora plans to extend it to Microsoft Teams, email and MCP.
Legora said Salesforce has rolled out its agentic legal platform across Legal and Corporate Affairs teams in North America, EMEA, and APAC, alongside Slack and Agentforce. Salesforce VP of Legal Innovation Erica Swainson said the tools will support research, drafting, and other workflows so lawyers can focus on judgment-intensive work. Legora CEO Max Junestrand framed the adoption as part of a broader shift by in-house teams toward agentic AI infrastructure.
On September 14, 2026 Legora said it is building a full ontology of law and an AI-native citator for legal research inside its platform, using technology from its Qura and Wexler acquisitions.
