Solicitor struck off for practicing more than a year without indemnity insurance

The Solicitors Disciplinary Tribunal has struck off sole practitioner Andrew Lee, who kept acting for clients for more than a year after his North London firm's professional indemnity insurance expired, Legal Futures reported on October 15, 2026. The tribunal found him dishonest for practising without cover, failing to tell clients the position and misleading the SRA about one client, and also found he failed to cooperate with the regulator. It ordered him to pay £45,100 in costs.
