SDT fines solicitor £15,000 for misleading client about psychiatric report

The Solicitors Disciplinary Tribunal fined Nicholas Nikola Stojanovic £15,000 after finding he misled a clinical-negligence client over about two months about receipt of a psychiatric report, conduct it found was motivated by a desire to avoid exacerbating the client's mental health difficulties. The tribunal found he failed to act in the client's best interests but not that he was dishonest or lacked integrity, and ordered him to pay £14,400 in SRA costs.
